The Edmonton and area Primary Care Networks (PCNs) have partnered with TCRC in a unique venture where local family physicians and their health care teams prescribe physical activity to patients who would benefit from increased activity.  Read more about Prescription to Get Active here.  

The Alberta Centre for Active Living has been reporting on the physical activity status of Albertans since 1993 and have just released their 2015 Alberta Survey on Physical Activity. Please read the results HERE.

The Canadian Physical activity guidelines recommend that adults should accumulate at least 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous-intensity physical activity per week, in bouts of 10 minutes or more.
